Barbershop Handshake

IMG_2567My final farewell to South America, a hand shake from my barber in Buenos Ares. This coiffure was one of my final interactions south of the equator, and a great one. His barbershop, which closes for siesta around 2pm, reopens as a bar and barbershop to serve the hat wearing, elderly gentlemen of the neighborhood. To find this gem I traveled by subway, chatting with the locals and learning of great places to visit near my hotel. After hinting that I was leaving later that night, my new friend insisted on hearing a tale of my travels before we both parted ways. We discussed Peru and Chile, but I was focused on my future, the infamous barber and his museum like barbershop. Saul, my subway companion and local native, had never heard of the place…
